May 2: ABC’s of Creativity: Art

Throughout May, I’ll be sharing three ideas per reading on a specific aspect of our creativity. I call it the ABC’s of Creativity because I focus on topics that begin with an A, B, or C. If this leaves you hungry for more, my book Waves of Creativity provides an “A to Z” gathering of ideas on creating with God.

Three thoughts on Art…

1
The canvas is the place your art and your heart intersect.

2
You are always becoming more or less of something. Your art follows that trajectory. Over time, your creations are a tapestry, reflecting various aspects of your becoming.

3
Predictable art happens when we follow someone else’s (or even our own) formula for creativity. Rather than offering more of the same (even if that’s what your audience expects), find new paths. Blaze a trail where there is no map. Stretch. Grow. Risk. Then invite us there.
