Expectancy and Peace

Here’s a simple practice to experience more peace.

Start the morning by releasing all expectations for how things are supposed to go—while remaining expectant for what God is up to.

Expectations reflect what we want to happen. We assume we know best. So we keep our eyes on our schedule and push hard to follow it.

Expectancy reflects a sense of wonder and curiosity for God’s plan. We assume he knows best. So we keep our eyes on him and follow his lead.

Choose the way of expectancy and peace today.
