Even when we feel stuck creatively, God continues to create within us.

Create in me a new, clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires. (Psalm 51:10 TLB)

This is incredibly freeing. We can create in new ways because we are new creations.

If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV)

What are some of the ways we’re new? For starters, we’ve been given a new heart:

I will give you a new heart—I will give you new and right desires—and put a new spirit within you. I will take out your stony hearts of sin and give you new hearts of love. (Ezekiel 36:26 TLB)

We’ve received enhanced sight and sound so that our eyes can see and our ears can hear what’s really going on.

But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. (Matthew 13:16 NIV)

Our new way of thinking changes who we are.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. (Romans 12:2 NLT)

And these new attitudes and thoughts will change us—and our creations—for the better.

Now your attitudes and thoughts must all be constantly changing for the better. Yes, you must be a new and different person, holy and good. Clothe yourself with this new nature. (Ephesians 4:23-24 TLB)
