Rejection is Hard

How do you interpret the rejection of your creative efforts?

It could simply be it wasn’t meant for that person. That’s okay…and normal. All of us are drawn to certain types of movies, music, and art. And not to others.

Or it might be that the gifting that God’s given you is still being shaped. If so…stay patient. Your passion just requires more hard work before it’s ready for prime time.

The first option requires grace for the other person. The second—grace for yourself.

In neither case are you being rejected. Remembering that helps separate who you are from what you do.
