Relax…You’re Not Behind

I hope the title of today’s reading is calming. But I’m guessing you’re also doubting it.

And okay, yes, perhaps you are running late on a deadline. That happens to all of us.

But in a deeper way, I want you to know that you’re not late or behind on the creative project that isn’t coming together. It will be born when it's fully ready. More accurately, it will be born when you’re ready.

Sometimes we just need to live more before trying to create more. Or quit trying to control everything. Or stop tying our validation to industry approval or the accomplishments of others.

Maybe you need to live more first. Or pursue your project more with God. Maybe the missing ingredient is waiting on you to find it. Or you might need to simply take the pressure off. Rest more before trying to create more.

Even so, don’t lose heart. And don’t give up. The Creator of time will give you enough time for what he's stirred you to pursue.
