Don’t Lower Your Hopes

It’s almost impossible to get through the day without hearing more devastating developments—whether at home, work, or in our news feed.

The world is unraveling, chaos is everywhere, and evil is rampant. Over time, we tend to check out. What once shocked us now only causes us to shake our heads. We’d rather tune out than be outraged. We’d rather lower our hopes than have them dashed once again. Our God-given glory fades as we just try to make it through the day.

Eventually, we go numb.

If that’s how you feel, allow me to be a voice in the wilderness for you.

Wake up, sleeper. Reawaken your heart. Embrace your Eden desires. Dare to hope again.

Remember you are here for such a time as this. Stay expectant for what God is up to around and within you. There is an essential role in this Story each of us have to play. Will you join me?

“Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” (Ephesians 5:14 NLT)
