The Bare Minimum

It’s rare to have a day to focus solely on your creativity goals. At least it is for me.

Most days, we’re grateful to have a half hour—either before the rest of the world wakes up or before we fall asleep at night.

But what about when you have zero time for your passion project? In these moments, I encourage you to try this “bare minimum” practice.

Tell God how much you love his creativity. Thank him for creating you. And for infusing you with your creative desire. Then let him know how much you enjoy creating with him.

This doesn’t take long. You’re not trying to be productive. You’re not complaining. You’re not asking for anything. You’re simply re-orienting yourself to what matters more than a deadline or project. Which is your love and awe of God as Creator.

It’s actually not the least you can do. It’s the most important thing you’ll do.
