Then Life Happened

I’m always surprised when my plans don’t go as planned.

It’s on the verge of working out...but then life happens.

Actually, what happens is I made my plans and assumed God would automatically go along with them. Perhaps even bless them. But it doesn’t work that way.

Mortals make elaborate plans, but God has the last word. Humans are satisfied with whatever looks good; God probes for what is good. Put God in charge of your work, then what you’ve planned will take place. (Proverbs 16:1-3 MSG)

Next time, I’ll start by following God rather than following my instincts, desires, wants, and ego.

I’ll put him in charge. Then what’s been planned will happen.
