Will A.I. Replace Your Creativity?

There’s a growing concern among many that generative A.I. will soon be able to duplicate, if not exceed, our creativity. It can certainly compile things faster than us. But can it also create better than us? And if so, what happens then?

It really comes down to this question: Is what you’re offering the world through your creativity replaceable?

The answer depends on how you create. And who you create with.

For those who base their creative process on self-effort, formula and trends, generative A.I. will be able to duplicate those works. And do so far faster than a human. This kind of predictable work will be easy to replace. Why? Because the process that person has embraced already leads to formulaic art.

If artificial intelligence can duplicate our best creativity, the problem isn’t with A.I. but us. We must aim higher in how we create.

But if you create with God, artificial intelligence can never duplicate that. A.I. can never give birth to works that contain an eternal spark because, for starters, it isn’t eternal. Your art will be irreplaceable and unduplicatable because God will reveal ideas and insights beyond your (as well as A.I.’s) wildest imagination.

This is God’s invitation: “Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.” (Jeremiah 33:3 MSG)

Spend less time with A.I. and more time with God. Doing so will make your creations less artificial and more real. But it all comes down to how you create—and who you create with.
