My counselor is almost eighty years old. He is one of the wisest, kindest, and most alive humans I’ve ever spent time with.

It’s easier to misplace our awe than our car keys. 

Have you noticed how in almost every great story, the protagonist is on a search for home?

I admit it. I’m a big fan of the classic Star Trek television series and movie franchise.

We live in a “get things done” world. Charge that hill now. Move that mountain today. Do it by whatever means necessary. Don’t slow down to ask God. Just get it done.  

It’s normal to lose hope at times. In those moments, a glimpse is all it takes to remind us of what awaits.

In a world of unlimited options and endless distractions, we tend to make choices that complicate every aspect of our lives—including our relationship with God.

When you’ve given it your best and it still isn’t enough, what then? 

I have a fascinating conversation to share with you. It reveals why we so often feel unseen, unknown, and alone.

We love origin scenes in movies. They help us understand how things began and why characters behave the way they do. It gives us empathy . . . and orientation.

January 6 is Epiphany, a Christian feast celebrating the manifestation of the divine nature of Jesus to the Gentiles as represented by the magi, or “Wise Men. ”

Our world is moving more virtual every day. We spend more time staring at screens than interacting with real people . . .
