An Uncompromised Imagination

An essential quality of creativity is the ability to create in freedom. To see something without first being told how to see it. To ask risky questions. To decline the predefined script and imagine what could be.

What I’m describing is an uncompromised imagination. That’s an incredibly rare commodity in today’s culture of control and group think.

We live at a time when a handful of huge corporations control the content of most entertainment companies. And they all have a similar way of seeing life—a worldview where God isn’t relevant or welcome. Or worse, he’s hated and opposed. And what flows from that polluted pipeline is predictable, agenda-driven works of indoctrination.

Refuse that path. Christ sets us free. But we must choose whether to bring that freedom to our creativity.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1 NIV)
