Echo the Psalmist’s Cry

I hope you’re feeling less stuck. If so, may this be a new beginning for you. We could all use a fresh start. Some days, I need more than one!
If you’re not sensing breakthrough, there is no shame. Not yet doesn’t mean not ever. Fight resignation or a sense of hopelessness by echoing the psalmist’s cry:
God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life. (Psalm 51:10 MSG)
Let his plea be your plea.
God, give me a fresh start. Get me unstuck. Give me hope for the future. Relief from the chaos. A new beginning. Turn the disorder in my life to order…around and within me.
Note, according to the psalmist, how God does that. He reshapes the chaos of our lives into a Genesis week.
What is a Genesis week? It is the greatest act of creation…ever. A fresh start that transforms chaos into order. Just as the original creation burst forth with oceans, forests, mountains, wildflowers, and wild horses, God will break open your empty, void places through his extravagant, abundant creativity.
Yes, God! Leave no one behind. Give each of us a fresh start. Fill the chaos and stuck places of our lives with the regenerative power of your Genesis creativity.
Even if all you can muster in this moment is to just take one step forward, do it. That’s forward momentum. It is the first sign of your new season.
Now that we’re moving again, let’s find our groove!
