Fully Unlike Anyone Else

It’s time to stop trying to be someone you aren’t. It isn’t working anyway.

It’s also time to release expectations for what tomorrow will bring. We can’t control that either.

Instead, become fully comfortable being fully unlike anyone else. God made you utterly unique. Embrace that. And be at peace knowing if God has given you a dream, he will see it through—in his timing.

If we try to do things our way, we’ll miss who we were born to be and what we were created to do. As will everyone our art was meant for.

So how do we shift into a better posture? David offers the best advice I know for pursuing what matters. He boils it down to three key steps (four if you count the same sentiment in the first and last statements). Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God.
