What’s the best way to decide which project to pursue next?

You'll hear all kinds of answers. Choose what you're most passionate about. Base it on market research. Stay on brand. 

It all sounds good. Except for one thing. It leaves God out of the process.

That’s why the best and truest answer is this: ask God. Then, have the passion and courage to follow as he leads. 

Any other option requires us to try and make it happen through our own wit and grit. To guess what the world wants and serve it up in our own strength. That leads to formulaic creativity that produces forgettable results. It also leads to striving and stress.

Instead, choose the road less traveled. If you want to create something with an eternal spark that's beyond your wildest imagination (Jeremiah 33:3), the way forward is actually quite simple.

Ask God. Listen. Not just about what to do…but when to do it. Then pursue that project. At his pace. And actively with him.
