The Danger of Fast Answers

God doesn’t go at our pace. We go at his pace. At least, we should. But that doesn’t always feel practical in our rapidly accelerating world.

We want solutions…now! And AI has conditioned us to expect immediate answers to every question. In our impatience, we choose now over later—even if doing so means we align with the artificial rather than the eternal.

Yet following God requires us to go at his rhythm regardless of our desired timing. He doesn’t seem all that concerned about getting us somewhere fast or first. God is up to something more. His goal is to make us a new creation. And that takes time.

Here at the start of a new year, forsake the pull of fast. Let go of the need to be first or famous. Instead, seek the real over the artificial and choose God’s presence—and his pace—above anything this world offers.
