What Are Your Three Words?
Highly creative folks are naturally talented in a lot of areas. The problem is they can spend their lives endlessly dabbling in a lot of areas without ever mastering any.
It’s fine to have a lot of hobbies and casual interests. But the goal is to find your unique anointing from God—and then pursue it wholeheartedly with him.
I’ve found it helpful to name the focus of our God-given interests and creativity. A good beginning is to ask God for three words that describe the passion and focus he created within you.
My three words are Story, God, and Creativity. These foundational threads define my mission and flow through everything I do—whether my books, speaking, coaching calls, or daily readings.
You may have noticed my logo at the bottom of every reading and on my website but not realized how it reflects my three words. Even the smeared color swoosh is intentional, representing the infinite uniqueness of each person’s creativity through the imagery of a blue-green ocean wave. The gold within the logo hints at the ancient Japanese art of kintsugi, which, to me, is ultimately reflected in how Jesus came to heal our shattered hearts (Isaiah 61:1).
These three words don’t limit my playground. They allow me to go deeper into what most stirs my heart.
Ask God to provide three words that best describe the anointing he’s given you. Then watch how they flow through all your creativity!
