Puzzled By Chaos?

In these high-tech times, I’ve recently rediscovered the simple joy of puzzles.

At the end of each day, I spend a few minutes with a 500 or 1,000 piece puzzle. On any given evening, I may only find a few pieces that fit. That’s okay. I love the process of slowly bringing order to the chaos…one piece at a time.

In my book Chaos Can’t, I describe it this way: Some people see a puzzle as a jumbled box of chaos. It’s actually a box of purposeful creation. The perfect picture is printed onto heavy cardboard and then expertly cut into hundreds of pieces. Not to remain chaotic. But to be brought back into order…one piece at a time.

It’s key to find an image or art style that calms your heart. Here’s the puzzle I’m currently working on:

A puzzle is the perfect way to unplug from technology while still engaging your brain. Give it a try. It just might be the missing piece to a more simple rhythm of life.
