Waiting For What?

If we wait until we feel fully qualified to take the next step, we’ll forever stay stuck where we are.

Basing the decision on our qualifications also reveals the focus is too much on us…and too little on God.

God regularly calls us into situations that are beyond us…but never beyond him. The goal isn’t to prove ourselves to God but to proceed with God.

He’s not looking for the person who believes they can make it happen through their own grit or wit. He’s looking for those who will follow his lead, desire his presence, and trust the outcome to him.

What a relief. Because what God has for us depends far more on him than on us. If we’ll trust him, we can be both completely unqualified and fully ready.
